I'm back from a long hiatus from electronic writing and ready for action.
Some of you may remember me as the previous editor of this magazine, which I
edited for most of 1993. I'm back now, not as editor (at least not yet
anyway), but simply as an author. I'm not really concentrating on h/p topics
anymore, as I feel it's all been done to death anyway, though if I do come
across any new information, I'll certainly write it down. My involvement now
is solely with Sixth Column and Column-related topics such as sovereignty,
personal freedom, government coverups & atrocities, etc.
I actually wrote this file back in January (it's May 15 now), so some of the
commentary (the state of the union address, etc) is a bit dated, but I wanted
to get it out anyway.
By the way, my BBS is back up as of May 10, 1995. It's the same board as it
always was ... Call all you want, leech all you want, I don't care. No

Circumstances Surrounding My Hiatus From Writing

Since there have been innumerable rumors about why I disappeared for a while,
I would like to explain what happened.
In short, I got married. Now, this doesn't totally explain my disappearance,
but... My wife is a user of my board... She lives in Michigan (and so do I,
now). When we decided to get married, we were faced with the tough decision
of who moves where. Given the high cost of living and high crime rate of
life in Southern Cali, the choice for us was easy: I move to Michigan.
Moving out-of-state isn't cheap, and the most valuable thing I had was my
computer (i.e., DnA Systems, Inc.). So, the board went down, I sold my
machine, and moved.
In the past, when I needed a job, I always found one within a few days.
Things don't move that fast here in Michigan. I didn't find a job until
March of 1994 (I came out here in January), so the backlog of bills kept me
low on cash until now. Now I finally have a computer and phone lines, my
board's back up, and I'm writing again.

The Atrocity of the Month
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The atrocity for this issue is an incident that ocurred in March & April of
1995 in Brunswick, Ohio. The incident is very similar to the Randy Weaver
incident.
This is the text of a file that Non'Serviam found on the Internet. It is
unedited, except where noted by [ ] which are my comments.

This is a preliminary investigative report, concerning the events of a
police action that took place between the dates of March 31 to April 3,
1995, in Brunswick, Ohio. Information contained within this report, was
obtained from (1) eyewitness accounts, (2) media accounts, (3) law
enforcement personnel, (4) testimony of public officials at the Brunswick
Safety Meeting of April 5, 1995 (5) Pictures we took of the remains of Mr.
Lekan's home (6) Transmissions on police scanners.
*** Background Information ***
John M. Lekan (pronounced 'lay-ken), 54 lived at 4095 Rolling Hills Dr.
with his wife Beverly, 49 and their son John Jr. aged 9. John Sr. was a
disabled chemical engineer. Beverly Lekan is suffering from Multiple
Sclerosis. The Lekans lived at this address for at least nine years.
All accounts indicate that John Lekan was an eccentric, a Veteran, an NRA
member, a gun owner, a political activist, and a Patriotic American who
had a strong dislike and fear of the government. There is also a
[ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ with good reason, apparently!]
consensus, hat while in his home, he carried a loaded firearm for personal
protection.
[ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ perfectly legal.]
Beverly Lekan received care by home health aides employed by the Medina
County Human Services Department. John Lekan, Jr. attended Kidder
Elementary School in Brunswick, Ohio. He was a quiet, well behaved
student, he excelled in math, and interacted well with neighborhood
friends.
*** Thursday - March 30 ***
John Lekan became angry when his wife advised him that the health care
aides had filed a complaint concerning his firearms habits with a young
child in the house, and told her that the police would probably be
[ ^^^^^^ what? carrying a gun? big fucking deal.]
accompanying them upon their next visit. One report said that Lekan
described how he could kill the health aide with just the butt of a gun,
however, there are no reports that Lekan actually threatened to kill or do
harm to anyone. According to Mrs. Lekan, her husband loaded all of his
three firearms that night, and was prepared to fight.
*** Friday - March 31 ***
* 3:00 pm: Brunswick police officer Sam Puzella, accompanied by an unnamed
Brunswick detective arrived at the Lekan home.
* Puzella knocked on the door.
* When Lekan refused them entry, Puzella kicked the door in.
[ nothing illegal about refusing unwarranted entry to one's domicile.]
* Lekan shot Puzella in the chest.
[ good... i would've done the same thing. the cops are in the wrong here.]
* 3:30 pm: A MetroHealth helicopter airlifted Puzella from Lekan's
property.
* 8:30 pm: Police attempted to rush the home.
* Lekan shot two more police.
[ hey man, nice shot. ]
* The neighborhood was evacuated within a one-half mile radius.
* Gas, electric, telephone and water service was shut off to the Lekan
home.
[ terrorist siege technique. ]
* Fiber-optic cameras were installed on light poles and the interior of
the Lekan home became visible to the police.
* Street lights were knocked out by police.
* Firehoses were run into the basement, where Lekan and his son had
retreated, and water was pumped in at approximately 1,000 gallons per
minute.
[ another scum siege technique ... this is wayyy illegal. ]
* Later that day, four SWAT teams, 300 law enforcement personnel, 200 fire
fighters, and two Armored Personnel Carriers converged at the Lekan
home. (*)confirmed by Police Chief Beyer at Brunswick Safety Meeting on
April 5, 1995
[ APC's are military equipment. use of military equipment against civilians
is totally illegal! ]
*** Saturday - April 1, 1995 ***
* 11:00 am: APC breached the garage door, tear gas was inserted.
* APC breached the east wall of the house, tear gas was inserted.
* APC breached the backyard patio doors, tear gas was inserted.
[ again, this is MILITARY EQUIPMENT! HEY! SCUM! You can't use military
equipment against civilians! ]
* Later police reports indicated that Lekan and his son died during this
period.
[ yeah, like they hadn't intended for them to die. fucking fascists. ]
*** Sunday - April 2, 1995 ***
* 10:15 am: Police fired tear gas through broken windows and drove an APC
up to the front bedroom window, which they then entered (located at the
south-east corner of the house) and emerged moments later with Mrs.
Lekan.
* Mrs. Lekan's bedroom, is located at the north-east corner of the house,
separated from the front of the house by two interior walls.
* Brunswick police chief Patrick Beyer later said, "SWAT team members
reached in and grabbed Beverly Lekan, who was confined to a bed in the
first-floor bedroom."
* Approximately twelve SWAT team members entered the Lekan home and some
four hours later emerged with the bodies of Lekan and his son.
* Police chief Beyer stated that the bodies of Mr. Lekan and his son were
found in the bathroom, partially within the shower stall.
* Medina County coroner Dr. Neil Grabenstetter said both died of single
gunshot wounds to the head.

* A gas mask and two acetylene tanks of oxygen were said to be found in
the bathroom.
* A 10-gauge shotgun, a .27 caliber rifle and ammunition for both were
also said to be found in the bathroom.
* The deaths have been ruled a murder / suicide.
[ ^^^^ yeah, and we be-lie-ve it too, because the cops are our friends.

Additional Information and Observations:
Reports heard over police scanners
* Between 8:30 pm Friday and 6:00 am Saturday: Water was being pumped
into the basement at over 1,000 gallons per minute to force Lekan and his
son back up stairs. We walked around the perimeter of the house four
[ ^^^^^^^^^ more likely to drown them and kill them. ]
days later - the ground near the house was still drenched.
* Snipers were given orders to shoot Lekan on sight. One sniper was heard
saying he had him in his sight and requested permission to shoot, but
permission was declined, saying "no, not yet".
* "We got the flag, does that mean we won ?"
*** Wednesday - April 5, 1995: ***
* A Brunswick Safety Meeting was conducted by police chief Beyer.
* J.J. Johnson & Rick Huffman attended the meeting.
* Police chief Beyer stated that the otime-lineoe as reported by the
Cleveland Plain Dealer, was an accurate representation of the facts
surrounding the incident.
* Jim Polzner, of Alternative Paths (a contracted service of the Medina
County Board of Health), stated that there may have been some
mis-quoting by the press.
* Polzner said the police action was "awesome".
[ ^^^^^^^^^^^ yeah, awesomely illegal. ]
* Polzner assisted in the negotiations with Lekan and stated that Mr.
Lekan was babbling, rambling, jumping from one subject to another, and
sounded very confused.
* Claiming respect for the family, Polzner declined to reveal the content
of their conversations.
* Our witnesses in Brunswick, who are acquainted with an officer who was
at the scene of the Lekan siege, say the officer told them that Lekan's
rantings included such phrases as: "you don't have a warrant" and "My
Constitutional rights are being violated".
[ ^^^^ the nerve! exercising his constitutional rights! oughtta be shot! ]
* The officer also stated that Lekan's unreported request to speak with
family members was denied.
* J.J. went to the Lekan home with Rick and our Brunswick witnesses after
the Safety Meeting.
* The house has been moved off of its frame.
* The front door, which we have pictures of, has 24 bullet holes in it -
they are clearly all entry holes.
* The front door has also been fire damaged from the bottom edge, to about
6" or 8" up.
* There are no less than 39 bullet holes in the exterior of the house -
all entry holes.
* There is no evidence of any shots being fired from the interior of the
home, unless they were shot through the windows, none of which have any
glass left in them.
[ ^^^^ looks like another Waco! no shots fired on the pigs.]
* Mr. Lekan's "arsenal" consisted of a shotgun, a rifle with folding
stock, a handgun, and a gas mask
* Mr. Lekan's flag pole stands bare on the railing of his front porch.
Additional Observations and Opinions
* The Safety Meeting of April 5th was attended by about 150 neighborhood
residents and other concerned citizens.
* Comments overheard were: "Murderers" - "Another Waco" - "Lekan's only
mistake was having bad aim". Some demanded the resignation of Chief
[ ^^^^ that's the truth. poor guy... i wish someone would've bailed him
out ]
Beyer and J.J. overheard two of Lekan's neighbors saying they had
received threatening phone calls to keep their mouths shut about what
they saw.
[ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ their silence will not protect them. ]
* After the meeting, J.J. walked up to Chief Beyer, shook his hand,
introduced himself as a member of the unorganized militia, and asked him
if there was a warrant to enter Lekan's home.
[ ^^^ good question! ]
* Chief Beyer withdrew his hand, said "No Comment" and walked away.
[ ^^^ of course. he didn't want to admit to his scummery. ]
* Tony Gilbert, who has previously prosecuted police for Constitutional
violations, was quoted as saying: "There was no circumstance that
required an immediate response. No threats were made, no hostages were
taken, no injuries were received." and "You just can't bust in a door
because you think somebody may be in danger. You need some probable
cause."
Questions
* Why was Lekan found with a gas mask and two oxygen tanks if he intended
to commit murder and suicide ?
[ ^^^ simple. he didn't. ]
* The Lekan home is a single-story house with a simple floor plan. Why did
it take the SWAT team nearly four hours after entering the house to
locate the bodies ?
[ ^^^^ well, first they had to kill them. then they had to find cash,
valuables, etc, to make the raid worthwhile. ]
* One officer stated that sometime around 11:00 am Saturday, after the
multiple APC assaults upon the home, he heard "muffled gun shots" and
believes that is when Lekan killed his son and himself.
* At that time, there was no glass left in any window, including the
sliding patio doors. There was no garage door and the east side of the
house (which is where the bodies were found) was torn completely open.
If Lekan used a shotgun to kill his son and himself, the shots would
have been extremely loud, not "muffled".
[ ^^^ not to mention the cause of death would not have been described as
"gunshot wound to the head" in that case... shotguns cause MASSIVE damage.]
* Why did the SWAT team enter the front bedroom window to retrieve Mrs.
Lekan, when her bedroom is located at the back of the house and
separated from the front by two interior walls ?
* Why did Chief Beyer say the SWAT team members reached into the bedroom
window and pulled her out , when the bedroom she was in is not inside
the window that she is pictured being extracted from ?
* Why wouldn't Chief Beyer comment on the issue of a search warrant ?
[ ^^^^ because the porker didn't HAVE one! ]
Concluding Remarks:
While everyone we spoke with said Mr. Lekan was an "eccentric", an
"odd-ball", and even a "flake", no one that we have spoken with is of the
opinion that he was a danger to himself or others.
We will never know if Mr. Lekan made the statements to the health care
aide that he was accused of. Assuming he did - while definitely
inappropriate and even menacing, those statements do not construe a threat
of physical harm. It has not been shown that Lekan _threatened to kill_
her nor has it been demonstrated that Lekan _intended to kill_ her,
therefore there was no probable cause for the multiple violations of his
civil rights.
*** April 5, 1995 ***
At Beverly Lekan's request, her husband was burried with his arms around
John, Jr., who cradled a teddy bear in his arms.
One Final Observation
John Lekan, Jr. will never again play on the swing set that stands waiting
for him in his backyard

Now, here we have a normal person who is interested in keeping his freedom
and defending his home. So what if he carried a gun in the house while his
kid was there? It's not like he left the gun laying around. They said he
CARRIED it, not left it around. Not a big deal. So some idiot social worker
thinks that that's something bad, and bingo! he's public enemy #1. This
could easily happen to any of us! We can't allow this sort of thing to
continue. This is yet another in a long string of government MURDERS
recently. Who's next?
Why Handles?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
While logging on to Linda Thompson's BBS for the first time last week, I
noticed her reason for requiring everyone to use their real name. It's
something to the effect of "If you are naive and stupid enough to think
you're not already on a bunch of 'lists' or wimpy enough to care, you don't
belong here anyway". Our reasons for using handles are far more complicated
than simply being afraid of government 'lists'. Sure, there ARE lists, and
we're probably on a bunch of 'em anyway. I use a handle to make it harder
for others to find out who I am. We distribute our information through
underground BBS's and the Internet. On such systems, there are plenty of
malicious hackers that like to screw with people, and I'd rather not have
them be able to get real info on me, period. Sure, I can defend myself, etc,
etc, but I'd rather not even have to go through the bullshit. Another good
reason to use handles is that WE STILL CAN! With all the talk of regulating
the Internet, I'm afraid the next step will be requiring real names for
Internet access. It wouldn't be too hard, since the government thinks they
own the 'net anyway, they just pass a "law" requiring that providers make the
users use their real name, period. We must fight to avoid this kind of
thing. And one way is to always, always, always use handles no matter what.
I Got Fucked With Lo-Jack
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was listening to the radio yesterday, and I heard one of those "I Got It
Back With Lo-Jack" commercials. You know, the one that goes like this...
[Car Theft Victim]: My car got ripped off, so I just called the police, told
them my name and that my car was stolen, and they got my car back using
Lo-Jack!
[Officer Gary Oosestepper]: When your car gets stolen, if you have Lo-Jack,
just call us, and we'll get your car back.
Now, I was thinking about that...
[Officer Gary Oosestepper]: There was this guy that had a parking ticket he
didn't pay, and our records showed he had Lo-Jack, so we activated it and
arrested him. We love Lo-Jack because it's SOOOO easy to find people that
have it!
[Mr. Frank Ucked]: I was having dinner with my girlfriend at our favorite
restaurant. When we left and went to my car, some pigs were there waiting
for me. Lo-Jack sucks!
Just a thought.
Why I Use UCC 1-207 In My Signatures
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You may have noticed the phrase "WITH EXPLICIT RESERVATION OF ALL RIGHTS (UCC
1-207)" in our articles. UCC 1-207 is a section of the Uniform Commercial
Code that states:
Section 1-207. Performance or Acceptance Under Reservation of Rights.
A party who with explicit reservation of rights performs or promises
performance or assents to performance in a manner demanded or offered by
the other party does not thereby prejudice the rights reserved. Such words
as "without prejudice", "under protest" or the like are sufficient. (5A
Del. C. 1953, section 1-207; 55 Del. Laws, c. 349.)
What this means to you is that by making a declaration under this code
section, you are making yourself NOT liable for anything you did not enter
into knowingly, voluntarily, and intentionally and you DO NOT accept any
terms of any contract that was not fully revealed. Make it a habit, and you
can avoid getting burned later.
Goosestepping For Fun And Profit With AT&T
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why do people think it's a good thing to be able to renew their driver's
licenses at a cash machine? (Not that I think driver's licenses are worth
anything in the first place...) All those stupid AT&T commercials make me
sick. If you can renew your driver's license at a cash machine, that means
your driver's license is probably [1] federally issued and [2] linked to your
bank account (hence the cash machine). Is that good? I think not. It would
allow the government to:
* Freeze your accounts if they so choose
* Track exactly what you spend your money on (since they want
everything to be purchased via a federal ID card)
* Know exactly where you are at almost all times
* And a whole host of other things, too...
Do you want that? I don't. No one but me has any need to know what I spend
my money on. And no, I'm not hiding anything, but I do like privacy. I
think the government is going a little too far here. Keep your eyes & ears
open and stay wary - Big Brother is coming, and the company that'll bring it
to you is AT&T.
Klinton's State of Confusion Address
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was watching Klinton's State of the Union address last night (it's January
25) and found a few problems with things he said...
[1] The Crime Bill. Klinton said all that crap like "I WILL NOT let the
crime bill be repealed!" How can he stop it, if people vote for it? Isn't
he really saying "I'm going to ignore the will of The People and do what is
best for the government."? Then he went on to say "And I do not want to
infringe on the Right To Keep And Bear Arms."... Well, isn't he arguing with
himself? First, he says he wants people to have only certain types of guns
(namely those that pose no threat to federal agents), then he says he's not
infringing. Well, he is. Pure and simple. That's an infringement. Nowhere
in the Second Amendment does it say "...but only if they hold 10 or fewer
rounds of ammo". Hell, the Second Amendment was supposed to stop the
government FROM RAISING A FUCKING ARMY! So of course you would be allowed to
have ANY TYPE OF WEAPON YOU WANTED! Then he went on to say "All this is to
stop innocent women and children from getting hurt and killed." Hey
Billzebub! Dumbass! CROOKS DON'T BUY THEIR GUNS LEGALLY - THEY NEVER HAVE AND
THEY NEVER WILL! THAT'S THE DEFINITION OF A CROOK - ONE WHO DOES ILLEGAL
THINGS! SO SHUT UP, SIT DOWN, AND RESIGN.
[2] Health Care. He went on to promise a National Health Care Plan. Well,
that's all well and good, and a lot of people want one, but having government
subsidy isn't the answer. I don't want the government to subsidize ANYTHING
for me. Why? Well, what Big Brother gave you, he can take away. There are
plenty of affordable insurance plans in this country, you just need to
increase your awareness and seek them out. It's not very difficult. Then,
when people are doing business with the reasonable companies, the overpriced
ones will have to either lower their prices, or close their doors. That's
how free enterprise works.
[3] The Minimum Wage. "I want to make the minimum wage for the first time
ever a living wage!" The minimum wage was NEVER INTENDED TO BE LIVED ON. It
was invented back in the 20's or 30's to prevent the scum employers back then
from grossly underpaying people (or not paying them) and to give people a
starting point. You're not supposed to live on it. If you're getting paid
minimum wage you either [1] are a teenager, and that's OK or [2] need to find
a better job or get more training, then find a better job. I know education
is expensive and jobs are not easy to come by, but having a sky-high minimum
wage isn't the solution. You have a better job, you get paid more. That's
how our system is designed to work, and it does, pretty much. It's been
proven that communism doesn't work.
Fear and Paranoia in Cyberspace
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fear of wrongful persecution has always been around in Cyberspace. SysOps
are always slightly afraid of being busted, especially if they have warez on
their system. This fear got a little more pervasive after Operation Sundevil
back a few years. Now, with the government's increasing goosestepping, it
has hit a new high.
Back when DnA Systems, Inc. I was online, I was involved with a message
network called PODS, the Pagan / Occult Distribution System. They were the
best occult information source I knew of. They had several good, active
message bases on a wide variety of occult topics, and did not censor anyone's
posts. So, when DnA Systems, Inc. II went online a few weeks ago, I of
course wanted back into this network. I contacted the net coordinator who
immediately got me back in.
After a few days of good message traffic, I came across an argument in the
"Altered States of Consciousness" echo where a major hub sysop was telling
someone they couldn't talk about ritual use of peyote because that was not
appropriate message content and that "It's illegal to talk about drugs!". So
of course, I posted a message back asking what WAS appropriate message
content, because, as far as I knew the echo was specifically *for* discussing
ritual use of drugs. I also mentioned that it's not illegal to discuss
drugs, since of course it isn't. For this, I got my feed cut. And
furthermore, the network coordinator backed this schmuck up! Have we become
so scared that we think that everything controversial is illegal so we need
to censor our online brothers? What is going on here? WAKE UP FOLKS,
censorship is the government's job. It's our job to fight censorship.
The "Sovereign In 30 Days" Myth
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has come to my attention that certain people out there on the 'Net and the
dialup BBS world have been putting together "Sovereignty In 30 Days" kits,
using many of the text files that Sixth Column and other Patriot groups have
distributed. This must not be allowed to continue.
In order to become a successful (i.e., non-incarcerated) Sovereign, one must
have a very good command of the law, understand and be able to employ court
procedure, and be aware of what other Sovereigns are doing. There is an
awful lot to learn, and 30 days just isn't enough time to learn it.
Yes, Sixth Column *does* distribute form recission letters done by A. J.
Teel, Sui Juris among others, but we do not advocate using such letters as
soon as you find out about the Sovereign movement. You need to become
completely familiar with the law & court procedure. You should also find
other Sovereigns to talk with about their experiences and to update yourself
on recent case law.
What will happen if you go "Sovereign In 30 Days"? I don't know, maybe
nothing. I guess it would depend on where you live and what you do. What
*could* happen? Well, the first time you have a run-in with law enforcement,
you're not likely to have the command of the law that you need to keep
yourself outta jail, so you'll go to jail. During your trial, you probably
won't know very much about court procedure, so you won't be able to properly
defend yourself, so you'll lose the case and go to jail for even longer.
Also, the media will swarm in and make you an example and say "See?
Sovereignty is a scam! It doesn't work!" thereby making us *all* look bad.
In short, Sovereignty is a very real and valid way to reclaim your freedom,
but "Sovereignty In 30 Days" is basically a scam.
